During the last years restraint systems experienced a rising number of the sales figures. Six to eight different airbagsystems are already standard in vehicles of the middle class and new systems stand before their introduction. Thus an environmentally friendly disposal of all automobile components is not only a current task but also a challenge of our time. The EST fulfilled beside the personnel also the material conditions for a professional disposal and is thereby reliable partner of car manufacturers and their suppliers.

The following restraint systems can be treated in an environmental friendly process:

• various airbag modules
  (driver / front passenger, side, head, knee protection modules)
• belt latch tensioners, belt tensioners
• gas generators
• airbag assemblies.
  

The sources of these restraint systems are:

• scrapped cars
• system manufacturers
• car manufacturers
• aircraft industry.

The disposal according to the quality rules is documented by a disposal declaration (VE). All remaining residues are recycled properly. The disposal and recovery process has been awarded with the predicate "very satisfactory" by the BMW-Group and TRW Airbag Systems GmbH & Co. KG.
